Welcome to the Wisconsin Lacrosse Federation (WLF) home page.
WLF has a board of directors and regular committee meetings to discuss the growth of the sport within the state. For more information about the organization, click the Contacts link button to the left.
WLF sponsors play around the state including Fox Valley, Green Bay, Madison, Milwaukee and Wausau. Each of those areas offers opportunities for players from the youth level, up to high school level and even some adult leagues, for both boys and girls, men and women. Hopefully this will answer many of your questions about the sport, approximate cost, the necessary equipment and what US Lacrosse does for the sport. There a various tournaments throughout the state during different times of the year. The Bullrush Tournament is held in Verona in May and features high school teams from throughout Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota. The kick off to summer lacrosse is the Milwaukee Lacrosse Festival - Brewtown Showdown. This is typically held over Father's Day weekend in Milwaukee and features teams from around the Midwest with five age levels. That is followed up by the Badger State Games in Madison. A full-team tournament that includes high school boys and girls teams from around the state. The longest running tournament in Wisconsin is the Indian Summer Festival tournament which includes a traditional Native American 'honor game'. This is held annually in Milwaukee at the Summer Fest grounds the weekend after Labor day. Thanksgiving brings "The Gobbler" indoor lacrosse tournament in Brookfield, WI.
